President’s update April 9, 2009
I hope that by now all of you Bugle Boy Foundation contributors have received your first complimentary copy of Texas Music Magazine. You can’t miss page 45, where you’ll find our full-page Bugle Boy ad featuring Texas and Bugle Boy treasure, Sara Hickman. We’re very grateful to the City of La Grange for their tourism grant, which made this ad campaign possible. If you’re like me, you’ll enjoy seeing and reading about many of your favorite artists from The Bugle Boy, throughout the magazine. If you’re not yet on the Texas Music subscriber list, I’m sure you’d like to be, and we’d love to sign you up for your own complimentary 1-year subscription. All you need to do is make a tax-deductible donation to the Bugle Boy Foundation of at least $100 (of course more is better, but we love all of our supporters equally). Then, you can be watching for the next three quarterly editions, and see which other BB artists have posed for the next three ads.
Here’s one more suggestion. As April 15 approaches, and you wrap up your annual commitment to the IRS, and especially if you’re fortunate enough to see a refund check, please keep the Bugle Boy Foundation in mind. I can’t think of a better way to invest some of that refund than in great live, independent, original music, brought to you every weekend at The Bugle Boy.

Tickets are available now for what’s certain to be a memorable and fun-filled evening of music and comedy, with New York City stand-up comedian, Michele Balan, and musical guest Vicky Emerson, on Saturday, May 30. Be sure to get your tickets soon for this one. All ticket proceeds from this show go to benefit the Bugle Boy Foundation, thanks to a very generous donation to the foundation.
