Dear Bugle Boy Supporter,
Sustainability is the word of the future, and we are always thinking of the future here at The Bugle Boy. In January we will have been in business for 4 years, rolling into our 5th concert season. The Bugle Boy has been able to maintain small but steady growth during this time. This has been accomplished by your patronage and support, with the help of our dedicated volunteers, our VIP program and the fact that I have not taken a personal draw from the business. After serious consideration and meeting with a group of Bugle Boy VIPs, we have decided to organize the Bugle Boy Foundation (BBF), a 501 (c) (3), to legally purchase The Bugle Boy, LLC.
The BBF is being headed up by three current Bugle Boy VIPs whom I trust very much: David Vogel, BBF President, Wayne Penello, BBF Vice President and Pat Settle, BBF Secretary/Treasurer. Don’t worry folks, I am not going anywhere. The Foundation will be contracting with me to stay on as Executive Director. Very soon you will also receive a letter from Bugle Boy Foundation president, David Vogel. We promise to make this crossover a seamless transition.
We have ambitious plans for the future of The Bugle Boy and it is in these times more than ever that we must keep the music alive and support our artists. We very much need your help and financial contributions to make the Bugle Boy Foundation successful. Your financial support at this early stage will be paramount in the start up success of the BBF. We are looking for donations for capital funding that will be used to pay off the current mortgage and equity on the concert hall. The BBF intends to take the helm in June 2009, if not sooner. Any contributions that you make will be applied to the appropriate Sponsorship Level. The Sponsorship Program will go into effect upon the completed transfer of ownership of The Bugle Boy to the Bugle Boy Foundation.
I have determined that if each person on this email list donates a total of $200 over the next year, the BBF would be a free and clear operation allowing us to concentrate more on our music and educational programs rather than the business of fundraising. Of course, if you are in a position to make a larger donation we will reach our goals even faster. We truly need a strong show of support from our patrons early on to give us the confidence that what we offer to our music patrons and to our artists is a service that is well worth the financial support.
We are seeking to
raise an overall total of $360,000. Prior to this email, we already
have $19,000 in commitments just by word of mouth. Any and all
contributions will be gratefully accepted and are tax deductible and as
I mentioned before we will apply your donation to the appropriate
Sponsorship Level. (See table below)
